Hi,

I have to configure DFS on 2 win server 2003 and then i have to set up dfs
replication using frs between two server. Can someone please tell me the
steps for doing this as when i configure dfs i don't see any option for
replication on dfs snap in. And to setup dfs replication using frs on second
server which type of domain controller do i have to make e.g. first DC is
Sydney.com does the second one has to be child domain or domain in a same
forest because i have to setup split brain dns as well on them so please
advice me which type would be suitable for the second server.

Thanks,
John

John,
Are you using Windows Server 2003 R2? If so, use the DFS Management console
(or DFSRAdmin command line utility). Otherwise (i.e. you don't have R2),
your replication is available only for domain-based DFS namespaces and its
capabilities are a bit limited (the option to configure replication becomes
available when you are creating additional targets for a given link).
Servers participating in replication can reside in multiple domains - as
long as they belong to the same forest...
For more detailed info and step-by-step setup instructions (assuming that
you are dealing with Windows Server 2003 R2), refer to
