Hi all,
I am studying the feasibility of the File Server DR solution, and here is my
plan, please feel free to advise/comment. I really have no ideas on it.
Is it good to use DFS or something like WanSync (I have 3 WanSync Licenses)?

By the way, I would like to ask 1 more question, is there any tools that can
monitor the DFS replication status?

Thanks a lot, Alex

Resources:
Site link: 10Mbps VPN (would increase in need, with supporting)
Local site: 7 File Servers (some with local disks and some are using iSCSI)
DR site: 1 Server with iSCSI (13 x 1TB SATA)

My plan:
Deploy DFS to replicate Local site 7 servers -> DR site 1 server
Schedule:
7pm-7am: full replication
7am-7pm: no replication

Alex,
It depends what you mean by DR. It could be anything from a spare off-site
good-enough copy to a high-integrity auditable certifiable backup.
DFSR or FRS are absolutely fine for providing distributed replicas. As DR
they have some limitations depending on your requirements. The FAQ here
tells you more:

Hope that helps,
Anthony
